My Pet Elephant

My Pet Elephant

So, I have had this elephant for a while. The in-laws brought it out for the kids about a year ago. It is designed to be a sprinkler that the kids can run and play in; however, we rarely got the elephant out for sprinkler fun.

So I decided to turn it into a fountain. I bought a fountain pump from Harbor Freight Tools, a cheap garden hose, and a small half barrel from Lowe’s. Now, my pet elephant bathes himself all day long. The kiddos think that this is great.

The 2011 Harris Garden

The garden this year had some helpers that were willing to get down and get dirty. Mainly dirty.

The Musical Road

For Thanksgiving this year, we decided to go to Lancaster, CA and visit the musical road. The muscial road is a tourist destination that plays a segment of the ‘William Tell Overture’ on your tires when you drive over it. Here are the audio clips from that adventure.

After the fun and excitement of this, we ate a turkey sandwich picnic at the Clear Channel Stadium in Lancaster. After which I destroyed my camera when trying to get a family photo. The wind blew it off a 5 ft ledge which I had proped it up on to perform a self-timer operation. Entropy at work.
